Inspired by the criminal novel with the same title and the cloned sheep, Dolly. This work depicts a slaughter house of sheep with the same shape and size, due to the reason that domestic animals are treated as streamline products. The smoke arising from the background indicates the silence of butchery and the lack of social attention on mistreatment of animals.

The background is a forbidden building photographed by my friend Amber Zhu in Detroit. All the characters were photographed by Philippe Halsman and Cindy Sherman. Many famous faces were portrayed in this photograph, including Marilyn Monroe, Dali, and Woody Allen. Accordingly, Detroit was once a huge city run by auto industry, but now many buildings in Detroit are forbidden and forgotten. All the famous buildings, people, and cultures will be decaying and forgotten because of time.
